Video Of The Week: 8.8.14

Whoa it's been so long since I've done one of these posts. In fact it's been too long. It's to start getting these back on track. Starting with more TotalBiscuit ass kissing. This week's video is Sir.Biscuit's 180th episode of the content patch. He talks about the latest crack down twitch has had on licence music. Movie News:The Lonely Island To Get Movie

The Lonely Island club has teamed up with Judd Apatow to bring us a feature length film of the one and only spoof music group. The line up consists of Andy Samberg, Jorma Taccone and Akiva Schaffer.

Not much else is known about the film, there is no release date yet. Universal Studios has green light a script and will serve as the executive producers. Judd Apatow will produce as previously mentioned, and Taccone and Schaffer will Co-Direct the film.

The Lonley Island wouldn't be the first time a SNL segment got it's own feature length film. Wayne's World being the prime example. I suspect a slew of new comical sons as the film is focused on spoofing the music industry. Which, let's be honest needs some making fun of.

I expect the sound track to sell millions and a tour to follow since these guys are determined to turn The Lonely Island into a real cash cow. Should we be excited about this? Maybe. If it's a genuinely funny movie, then I'm down for it. Hopefully it points out how archaic the RIAA is and how the music industry is basically a generation clash at the moment.

Game News: Assassin's Creed Rogue Coming Soon!

Remember when it was reported that there would be two Assassin's Creed this year. One for current gen and another for last gen? Well if not that's exactly what is happening.

At E3 we got too see some footage of the upcoming Assassin's Creeed Unity, which is billed a four player team based co-op game rather then the usual single player experience. That release date has been out for a while. Assassin's Creed Unity is coming out October 28th 2014.

Rogue however will offer that traditional single player experience one would expect for an Assassin's Creed game. Now I do believe that Assassin's Creed Unity might also offer a single player experience, I think that game is built more towards four players than one. In fact I just did some research and the game while have many missions for Co-Op but there are still some missions intended only for single player.

While AC: Unity drops the naval combat and focuses on land only. AC: Rogue places you in the shoes of a Templar protagonist and features predominantly naval combat like Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag. Instead of sailing around the Caribbean however, you'll be exploring the Atlantic Ocean. The game will tie directly into the Kenway Family Saga, and Unity.

The Seven Years War is the main historical backdrop of Rogue. It should be interesting to see which game sells better, Unity or Rouge. Xbox 360 and PS3 have a larger installed user base then current gen consoles. Could Unity be the system seller for next gen? Getting gamers from the previous generation cycle jump into the new era of gaming? Or will Rouge's similarity to previous entries in Assassin's Creed franchise, keep gamers comfortable with where they are? It'll be interesting to see how this get's answered

The game is being developed by Ubisoft Sofia and you can expect on Xbox 360 and PS3 November 11th.

Video Of The Week: 5.23.14

Last week there wasn't a Video Of The Week, mainly because I couldn't find one worth sharing. Well this week I have something for you guys! Now this may be old hat, but I love the game Skyrim, Not really for the game itself but the amazing amount of Mods for the game. Mods that can change Skyrim so much thatt looks like a completely new game. Mods that can change up the combat to make it easier or more challenging, Mods that enhance the immersion of the game, or build upon other weaker environments of the game.

If you can think of it then there's most likely a mod for it. This week's Video Of The Week goes to Gopher's Skyrim Mod Testing 10. I love watching him test mods, he's entertaining, and he knows what he is doing. There's a lot you can pick up on when it comes to mods. The video is fairly long so relax, make some popcorn and enjoy.

Movie News: B-Man V S-Man Title Revealed

Warner Brothers has finally revealed the upcoming title for DC's first superhero team up movie. Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice. Sounds pretty serious. They even decided to reveal the first title treatment/logo for the film:

Of course you can probably assume the whole "Dawn Of Justice" is alluding to the beging of the Justice League which has already been confirmed and Zach Snyder is returning to direct that film.

All this information is to coincide with principal photography of the upcoming blockbuster starting today.

The film stars Henry Cavill as Superman, Ben Affleck as Batman. Also starring is Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman. Amy Adams and Laurence Fishburne return from Man Of Steel. Jesse Eisenberg is Lex Luthor, Jeremy Irons is Alfred, and Holly Hunter is taking up a new role created for the film, which hasn't been specified yet.

Shooting will take place in Detroit, Illinois, the South Pacific and Africa. It'll hit theaters May 6, 2016.

This could easily be the most anticipated movie of 2016, not only that but so far it seems, It'll be opening up against a Marvel Film, Captain America 3...Which I think Cap. needs to move back further a good two weeks. As fun as it'd be too see a fanboy war, I don't think it'll be goo for either movie. I do think Captain America 3 would lose out..even if it happens to be the better movie.

Holly Hunter is in something! Yay!

Supposedly Cyborg and others are going to make an appearance in the movie. So obviously this is just going to serve as an interlude between Man Of Steel and the Justice League. Perhaps there will be a shocking twist at the end that set's up the big baddie or baddies for the next movie.
