Game News: The Sims 4 Release Pushed to Fall 2014

This isn't exactly news news, it was announced back on October 22. but i wanted to start the morning off with this post and get the ball rolling. So for you wonderful Simers out there, the next installment in the Sims franchise The Sims 4 has been delayed till Fall of 2014. To be honest, there was no official release date set in stone but when they announced it back in August and showed  it off at GamesCom they were touting a quarter one release. This isn't really that shocking. I feel that, at this point it's a cheap publicity move to raise awareness and to build hype for the game. It should be noted that the Sims 3 was moved from February to June 2009 with EA reasoning it would give them more time to build a world wide marketing campaign and add polish. Although it's disappointing, there's nothing wrong withe the decision to delay it, as long they're able to make a stronger game then the Sims 3 and please for the love of god make sure it isn't buggy. I had a lot of problems with the Sims 3 and it's subsequent expansion packs. Hopefully, The Sims 4 Will address them. On, the plus side it's going to be released on the Mac and PC simultaneously. Mac users you won't have to wait months any more.

If this is your first time hearing about the Sims 4 here's some of the game footage they showed off at GamesCom:
