Following the end of Marvel's Contract with both CapCom and Activision expiring, several Marvel related titles are no longer purchasable on Steam, Xbox Live, or PlayStation Network. Games that are affected are the newly released Deadpool, as well as games based on X-Men and Spider-Man. CapCom's mash-up fighting game Marvel Vs CapCom has also been affected.
This would make sense as to why these titles were marked down heavily during the Holiday sale on Steam and other Digital retail services. As Marvel is in the midst of launching phase 2 of it's expanded cinematic universe, as well as hoping to successfully bring Guardians Of The Galaxy to the big screen, lets not forget the Avengers 2 coming in 2015, It makes sense that Marvel would want to review it's licencing and strike better and more controlling deals, over it's IPs.
As it currently stands these games are still available for physical retail purchases.
