Yesterday on February 2nd 2014, Philip Seymour Hoffman was found dead at his New York apartment. Aged 46, Philip was one of the greatest character and theater actors of our generation. While the circumstances of his death hasn't been confirmed, all points to a drug overdose on heroin. Police officials have stated that "Investigators found a syringe in his arm and an envelope containing what is believed to be heroin"
The late actor was found by friend and screen writer David Katz who was concerned when he couldn't reach the actor. Hoffman has had a issue with drugs in the past, being addicted to both heroin and prescription drugs. He voluntarily went to rehab recently. Prior to this he had been clean for 23
It is really a shame, he was one of my favorite actors. I enjoyed his work, and he had so much talent. Everything he worked on he gave his all. He will be missed. My heart goes out to his friends and family. Remain in peace.
