As you may know, the tragic death of Paul Walker has left much of the movie community and fans shocked and devastated. In the wake of his death Universal has chosen to suspend all and current production of the Fast & Furious 7, without any determined return date.
Universal stated in their press release that "Right now, all of us at Universal are dedicated to providing support to Paul's immediate family and our extended Fast & Furious family of cast, crew and filmmakers. At this time we feel it is our responsibility to shut down production on Fast & Furious 7 for a period of time so we can assess all options available to move forward with the franchise. We are committed to keeping Fast & Furious fans informed, and we will provide further information to them when we have it. Until then, we know they join us in mourning the passing of our dear friend Paul Walker"
Pual Walker has been with the series since it's first entry, and has worked with Universal numerous times. I'm not really sure where the film will go from here, there will most likely be re-shoots and re-writes are they may even start entirely from scratch...though that is the most expensive route. They could even can the idea of making any further movies. The film was scheduled for July 11 2014 but that will obviously not be the case. There are some uncertain times ahead for this franchise. I wish Paul Walker's family the best of luck and wishes, as well as his friends as they mourn their loss.
