After the huge( and in some cases surprising) Success of World War Z, a sequel was announced by Paramount not too long after it's release. With director Marc Forester saying they see World War Z as a trilogy. When Paramount confirmed a sequel not much else was mentioned, but now we have some more information about the next installment.
Brad Pitt will return to star in the next installment of World War Z. Which is understandable because he is a huge box office draw. Marc Forster will not be returning to direct, which is fine, his quick cuts and choppy editing annoys me. Instead director Juan Antonio Bayona (The Orphanage, The Impossible) will be replacing Marc Forster for the next installment.
Juan Antonio Bayona has experience shocking and disturbing audiences so we may see some more horror and gore elements in the sequel. The only questions that exist still are who will write, and were the story will take out and when can we expect to see it in theaters. Personally I believe we'll see it in 2016, I don't think it would be a good idea to rush it out for 2015, considering it's already loaded with huge franchise sequels, and rushing to get it out most likely will lead to a weaker installment. We'll see.
