Director Rob Thomas has confirmed that release date for the up coming Veronica Mars movie. The film will hit screens on March 14th 2014. and will simply be titled Veronica Mars. The movie was made possible thanks to fan support on Kickstarter. It's release date come, practically a year after it's kickstarter began, only off by a day(March 13th 2013)
The news came from EW who talked to Thomas, saying that " Warner Bros. had this date circled for quite some time and hoped it would stay open. Luckily, no other teen detective movie decided to open in the middle of March"
Originally the film as to have a limited release, but will now get a nationwide release, allowing movie goers to deice how long it'll stay on the screens. Rob Thomas also said "There are smart ways to do a movie of this size and we chose none of them, We are a low budget movie with big set pieces and 60 speaking roles. A murder mystery in a house would have been more cost effective. But I think we have managed to pull it off"
The film will see the return of Kristen Bell as the tittle character, and many other cast members from the show. This is surely exciting news for Veronica Mars fans.
