Game News: Microsoft Promises Big Reveals at VGX

Microsoft is currently tooting it's own horn, as the company has plans for some big announcement's for December 7th's VGX, originally  known as Video Game Awards. The company's Phil Spencer sat down with Polygon today, to talk about the exciting news . Here's what he had to say: "We've got a lot of news. Frankly, we've got enough news that our E3 would be a little overloaded if we kept everything for that. We're being real thoughtful about the news that people want to hear and also the right time to announce games so that we're not too early"

Phil also hinted that we might see more of the game Quantum Break which was announced back at E3. Phil had this to say about the game "Maybe VGX would be a good place for that. It  may be before the end of the year when we talk more about what the story and the gameplay is for Quantum Break.... We have a pretty good piece that I'm trying to coerce people into putting out before the end of the year ... showing the full Remedy vision, with Sam Lake giving a pretty good description of how the game works with some new gameplay footage."

Interestingly Sony has remained quiet since the release of their console. It seems like Micorsoft already has in place plans for the next 2 to 3 years for their console that will be revealed slowly over time. Sony hasn't really indicated what to expect coming down the pipeline besides Uncharted and Infamous. I'm sure next year's E3 is going to be a whole new software arms race. I for one am hoping to see some of the newer and interesting IP's this generation is gonna offer, as most of the games that have come out, don't scream next gen and are mostly sequels.

Are you excited to see what Microsoft has in store? Do you think Sony will be able to compete in a software race? Comment Below!
