Today auditions of the two leading roles for Star Wars Episode 7 will be accepted online through Cast It Talent websites. The process will require you too submit a video of yourself as well as pretty standard information about yourself, your name, your height and full body shots. You will also be getting a scene from the film to read. Open auditions are taking place in the U.S and The U.K this month, but already thousands are being turned away due to the sheer size of numbers.
Well this is pretty exciting if you ask me. i find it a very good thing Disney is mining for some new talent. If this works out well for Disney, i'm sure this way of auditing will become more and more common placed in the industry. It's also better for those who can't financially make it to the open audition calls. Since Disney is a business first and foremost i don't believe they are doing this out of the kindness of their heart. It's probably gonna save them a lot of money and time. Plus, if the pick an unknown struggling child actor, it'll create pure positive publicity.
by the way if you wanna act and always had a dream in being star wars. Do it. Don't make up excuses just do it. Follow your dreams. Forget anyone who gets in your way, just live the life you want to live and get it done.
