A recent popular trend in the Television industry is taking popular British shows, and Americanize them. The Office, House Of Cards, are all fine examples of this. An american adaption Broadchurch is coming to FOX for the 2014-2015 season. Broadchurch's lead star David Tennant will be returning to the new series, which is re-titled Gracepoint.
David Tennant will star in both versions. Broadchurch is already getting a 2nd series order in the UK. Fox has added Breaking Bad star Anna Gunn to fill the lead female role for the upcoming remake. It's nice that Anna is getting work, shes a very talented actress. It's very interesting that both versions will have the same lead actor. I'm not sure if it's the same character or premise, but it's interesting to see how this will play out in the future.
