The third chapter in Jame's Wan's spooky horror thriller has been set for a April 3rd 2015 release. With no word on whether or not James Wan will return to direct or if Patrick Wilson or any of the other stars will return. The release date seems out of line as the previous two entries were released in September. Leigh Whannell will return to write while Jason Blum and Oren Peli will produce. The horror films have been widely popular and successful, with the first film gaining a 97 million intake on a 1.5 million budget. Like wise the sequel had a price tag of 5 million and made 145 million in return.
Making horror movies is relatively cheap and with the right marketing it's not hard to draw in a pretty decent crowd. Insidious is no different, i don't believe this will be the last entry and story wise i feel it may focus on a completely new family. James Wan is having a booming career right now, between the huge success of Insidious and The Conjuring as well as jumping into the Fast & Furious universe to direct. There is a strong possibility he may return to direct Insidious 3 and The Conjuring 2 .
